Pick your own Sunflowers in the heart of East Lothian..
Tickets will be released once we are sure of flowering dates (Scottish weather makes this a challenge). Subscribe to our newsletter to be updated first. The event will run in August, with tickets being released mid July.
SEE
Enjoy a never-ending sea of golden yellow across the countryside with photo opportunities hidden among the flowers
WALK
Bring a compass as you get lost in the winding ways taking you through the 14-acre field.
Dogs are very welcome as long as they are on a lead and are happy to mix with other dogs and people.
PICK
Once you’ve tired your legs, don’t forget to pick a bunch or two! You won’t find any fresher flowers
New for 2025
Evening Sessions
We’re introducing both all-ages and adults only evenings. Enjoy golden hour in the sunflowers, with BBQ and Pimm’s at sunset. Magical, right?
Rent a Plot
We’re offering unique spaces within the sunflower fields for workshops, yoga, wine tastings, art classes and more. Surrounded by flowers, it’s the dreamiest setting.
Feeling peckish?
Offering snacks and drinks, enjoy our Sunflowers along with a range of street food vendors to fuel your adventure.
Big Green Egg BBQs
We’re cooking right in the fields with estate-raised meat only, think juicy steaks, burgers, sausages, chops and more. No need to leave for lunch.
PRIVATE HIRE & COMMERCIAL CLIENTS
This year, we are offering bespoke slots for those wanting more space, be it for photographers or workshops. We will open up a lot, along with standard tickets, for mid-week bookings.
If you want to hire out the space or more information please email alex@balgoneestate.co.uk
PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS
This summer, we’re offering two ways to shoot in the sunflowers:
Individual sessions - 2 hours in the fields with limited bookings per hour to keep things calm and creative.
Full site rental - exclusive access to the entire sunflower field, just for you and your clients.
Expect props like XL swings, oversized chairs, benches, and a giant seesaw, all surrounded by golden blooms.
PYO will be closed, but if you’d like to pick sunflowers for your shoot, just ask on the day.
No food or drink will be available, though our café Herd may be open for coffee.
Whilst sunflowers are visually warming they are also making a difference behind the scenes.
We donate 10% of Sunflower Sales to Brain Power, an extension of Brain Tumour Research.
